Glamourbombing comes from the tradition of the Fey (those who literally believe in faeries), who see it as a matter of spiritual need to conduct
random acts of randomness, focussing specifically on bright shiny things. Glamourbombing is generally the nicer side of things - wearing wings and glitter, doing unexpected things with bright colours, and the like.
That's not to denigrate glamourbombing - it's an entirely appropriate way to cause illumination, although it is important to be aware that it's not the only way.
Glamourbombs
The traditional glamourbombs are heavily influenced by their Fey origins. Having a picnic in the park while wearing faery wings is probably the most common glamourbomb, although it's still an unusual enough sight that it hasn't lost its ability to surprise and illuminate.
Other ideas include:
- Blowing bubbles in crowded areas.
- Chalked art on buildings and pavements.
- Glowsticks and glitter can be used to great effect.
- Coins glued to, or left in, unusual places.
- Audio CDs - particularly 3" discs - with random music or spoken word tracks on them, left in random places.
- Wearing strange and unusual clothing in busy areas and during commuter hell. Headpieces can be particularly effective here.
